About the Restaurant
Casa Mia is well equipped with a beautiful, professionally designed dining room that seats over 150 people. It is the perfect place for any function from a casual dinner, to corporate lunches or dinners, to bridal showers, or even graduations. With plenty of on-site parking, we continue to accommodate parties of almost any size in a surprisingly cozy atmosphere. We are fully licensed under LLBO and offer a wide variety of wines from all over the world. If you’re feeling like something you can’t buy in a store, try something from the Casa Mia Winery. Using only carefully selected foreign grapes, we create a fantastic wine that goes great with any Casa Mia dish.
If dining-in does not fit in your schedule, we also offer delivery service or a take-out option.
Background
With a combined total of well over 50 years of experience in the restaurant business, the founding partners of Casa Mia Restaurant felt that the people of Barrie needed a quality Greek and Italian eatery with excellent customer service that provided mouth-watering, high-quality meals that were affordably priced.
As planning for the restaurant progressed, the name became immediately obvious. “Casa Mia” in Italian means “my house” and true to its meaning, we do our best to ensure that all of our guests feel welcome as if they are entering our own home. In addition, the name of our restaurant was inspired through the large amount of homemade sauces, dressings, and dishes we anticipated would make us famous. Thousands of satisfied customers and over 20 years later, we were right!
History
Casa Mia Restaurant first opened its doors on October 15, 1992 as a pizza and spaghetti house. Since then, we have evolved into a Greek and Italian restaurant, serving up the finest in Mediterranean cuisine and seafood in Barrie, Ontario.
As our menu evolved, so did the atmosphere. In 1997, the owners of our restaurant hired an interior designer to give the restaurant a more authentic, Mediterranean look and feel. A few years later, and after an endless amount of positive feedback regarding our new interior, the owners then decided to finish the job and give the building an exterior face-lift to match.
Admittedly, we were nervous as each project was in progress, but when it was complete, Casa Mia Restaurant turned into Barrie’s most beautiful restaurant!
